Bush Eyes:
We will help you develop 'bush eyes'. If you've never been
in the African bush, it is unlikely that you will see all the things that
surround you. If you participate in a tour bus safari you can miss as
much as 70% of the animals that are sighted by the tour guide because
your eyes aren't attuned to the bush. The birds, the insects, the trees,
grasses, wild herbs, the rocks, the fish, the soil and rivers are all
part of the African experience that we want to share with you.
Because
our safaris are small and personalised, we can help you see the big
and the small, the unexpected and the unbelievable. We are not 'Big
Five' tour operators. If you get to see the big 5, while you are with
us, that will indeed be exciting, but there are many more interesting
things about the African veld and bushveld than the large, fierce, strange
and beautiful 'Big Five' that are still the targets of big game hunting
in many parts of Africa.
We hope, rather, to introduce you to the Little 27.
It's about seeing beauty in unexpected places and about developing 'bush
eyes' so that you notice uncommon things rather than just pointing and
clicking at the obvious. It's about sharing our local know-how with our
visitors.
